Our team strives to provide the best support to help you with any questions and to make information more transparent and quicker to find, we've started gathering the most frequently asked questions on this page.
If you can't find an answer to your question below, check the Rules & Guidelines document before contacting us via info@lambdadays.org.
TICKETS
1. What’s included in the ticket price?
Access to the conference (two full days, all tracks), a breakfast snack, morning and afternoon coffee breaks and lunch buffet on both days, plus an afterparty invitation with free beer coupons and snacks. Additionally, this year we have socks included in the price.
2. If I can’t attend the conference, can I give the ticket to my friend/colleague?
Yes, you can. Simply log in to your Eventbrite account and edit your order information to put your ticket under someone else’s name and email address to this person. More information can be found here. If you can’t do it, contact us and we can do it for you.
3. In the case of cancellation can I get a refund?
Yes, we have a 30-day refund policy. If you request a refund up to a month before the conference, you will be fully refunded. If you request us after that date, you might receive 50%, 25% of the ticket cost minus processing fees or no refund, depending on the date of request. See the Rules & Guidelines for more information
4. Can you issue an invoice for my order?
If you would like to pay and order based on an invoice, simply pick your tickets and go to checkout. At the end of the form select “Pay by invoice”. Payment details can be found in the confirmation email you will receive upon finalising the order. Please make the payment within 14 days. When the payment is done we will mark that in Eventbrite and if it’s not done within 14 days, we will cancel the order.
Because the Eventbrite invoice attached to the order is not an invoice according to Polish tax law (we treat it as a pro forma invoice), the actual invoice will be produced by our accounting team and sent to you no later than on the 15th day of the month following the one in which the purchase was made.
5. Do I have to pay tax for the ticket?
Yes, for in-person events EU directive 2008/8/EC states that the place of supply is the place where the event takes place and hence we are obliged to deduct the local VAT on sales of the conference tickets. However, you can claim a refund for this by applying for an EU refund in your country.
6. Can I register my team for the conference if we do not know the names of the attending delegates yet?
Yes, On the registration form, you can put Your name to TBA in the attendee section. If you log in to Eventbrite you should be able to change those names later. You can also email us (info@lambdadays.org) the names and email addresses when you have them.
7. Can I purchase a ticket at the registration desk on the day of the conference?
No, you can only register online via the website, if the tickets are still available. However, if you do it on the day of the event, you will receive a manually signed badge and you might not get the giveaways if we run out of them. We’re trying to be eco-friendly and not produce more merchandise than we will use.
DISCOUNTS, DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP etc.
1. Do you have any discounts for students?
Yes, there is a special price for students, 400PLN (+ VAT and fees) – please message us at info@lambdadays.org from your student email address.
Make sure to have your valid student ID at the entrance to the conference, as you might be asked to show it at the registration desk.
2. What is the Diversity & Inclusion scheme and can I apply?
The goal of the programme is to increase the diversity of attendees and offer support to those in the tech community who would not otherwise be able to attend the conference.
The Diversity Scheme is primarily aimed at (but not restricted to) women, people from ethnic minorities and people with disabilities who would otherwise not be able to attend the conference.
Every year we have a selected number (depending on Donations and sponsorship) of tickets to give out. Look for more information on the main Lambda Days page in the Diversity section.
3. Do you have group discounts?
Yes, we do. Contact us directly at info@lambdadays.org to learn more about it. And if you have any women in the group, you can also use the Lambda Ladies programme (see below).
Note, that discounts only apply to full-priced tickets (so not Early Bird or Very Early Bird) and that you can’t combine discounts.
4. Any programs that support women in IT?
Yes, we do have the Lambda Ladies programme - contact us before purchasing your ticket at info@lambdadays.org!
For each Lambda Lady at a party, everyone gets 10% off the regular price, adding up to 50% off the entire order.
Note, that the total discount cannot go over 50%, the offer applies to invoices issued for group reservations per order (the company receives a discount only for a single order, not for the potential following purchases). Also, the discount only applies to full-price tickets.
MERCHANDISE
1. Can I get any Lambda Days merch?
Yes, go to the E-shop section on the main website. All items are ordered directly with Spreadshirt but are branded with the official Lambda Days branding. The store was created for our community but is a third-party supplier. Any issues with the items should be directed to the supplier and not Code Sync.
ATTENDANCE
1. How to communicate with other participants remotely?
We use the Nunify platform as a conference app and platform - you will get all the details in the Welcome email before the event.

Just like at most conferences for developers, the dress code is casual. A T-shirt, hoodie and jeans are perfectly adequate.
3. How should I prepare for the conference? Should I bring anything with me?
We've prepared the Lambda Guide with a lot of tips and recommendations regarding staying and moving around Krakow.
Expect a Welcome email with all the useful information a week before the conference. You can download a conference mobile app and engage with other attendees before the event. You can also check the presentations and mark which one you would like to attend. You can bring a laptop or tablet with you if you need to work, but it’s not required. You will be able to find the printed agendas next to the conference rooms, but it might be easier if you open them on your mobile phone. We are not planning to give out printed agendas per attendee (we’re trying to be mindful of the environment).
4. Registration starts at 8.00. Should I come that early?
No, you can come later, but the closer to the opening the bigger the line for registration you might expect. And if you come earlier, you can still enjoy a cup of coffee, a cookie and some small talk with other attendees or exhibitors.

Yes, the registration desk will be open throughout the conference.
6. I arrived at the venue. What’s next?

It depends on the speakers’ preferences and whether they finish on time, but we do ask them to include 5-10 minutes for Q&A in their time slot.
7. Will I be able to charge my device during the in-person participation in the conference?
Please, take your charger with you, there will be plenty of space to charge your devices.
8. What will I eat at the conference?
Food is included in the ticket price - we serve pastry and some form of sandwiches in the morning before the conference starts with coffee/tea, then we have two coffee breaks with cakes and cookies and a buffet lunch on both days. At the afterparty (after the first day of the conference), there will also be free beer and some snacks.
9. Do you have vegetarian/vegan options at the event?
Yes, we will have vegetarian and vegan food at the conference. If you have any other dietary restrictions that are not included above, make sure to mark them in the registration form when purchasing your ticket. If unsure, feel free to contact us at info@lambdadays.org.
RECORDINGS & SLIDES
1. Will I get access to talk recordings and when?
Talk recordings will be available in private mode for ticket holders in a week or two, as soon as our videographer edits them.
We will make them public starting with Keynote talks - right after the event, but the rest of the recordings will stay exclusive for attendees for another couple of months (approx 6).
2. Can I get access to the presentation after the conference?
Depending on whether the speaker agrees, we will add the slides to the speaker’s profile page after the conference.
